Policy Clock -- Project Link
New Scales is an ongoing series that recontextualizes contemporary social and political issues by distorting our normative scales and mediums of experience. Policy Clock compresses Project 2025’s mandate into a 24-hour cycle, where temporal scale becomes the argument—a document nominally transparent but designed by its very length to resist understanding. 3000ft/s visualizes the speed of an assault rifle round against everyday American backdrops, isolating a single metric from the broader reality of mass gun violence. 1:1 recreates a photograph of an unexploded Iranian missile at exact scale within contemporary American cities, raising questions about our relationship to conflict and violence—issues abstracted by distance and mediated experienced.
