Project 6 Oral Histories of Lippitt Hill created a platform to share the experiences of residents of Lippitt Hill. A historically black neighborhood, Lippitt Hill was demolished in 1959 as part of an urban renewal project aimed at breaking up the African American community in the area. Building upon the important work of oral history documentation done by Stages of Freedom in 2017, the project provides a more user-friendly web-based experience and distributed zines that function as a walking tour, engaging with the history displaced by urban renewal.
